7 Steps To Save a Relationship
So you and your wife both work long hours and neither one sees the kids very often. On top of that you’re both beginning to to resent each other, can your relationship be saved? Here’s how to save your relationship.
The first thing you need to do is sit down and decide if you actually want to save your relationship. Is it possible? Yes it is but if you’re going to actually make it work you need to make sure your heart is in it and you can give %100.
Just because you may have children together is not reason enough to continue to be together. You must still have that “spark” that you both had when you were younger otherwise it simply wont work very well. Like I’ve said previously
Now it’s time to move onto figuring out EXACTLY what the problem is. What went wrong with your relationship? It’s important to know what went wrong before trying to fix something.
One of the biggest misconceptions out there is that an affair causes a break up….when in reality the affiar was caused by a deepr problem and the affair is merely a symptom of the deeper problem.
The whole point in savig your relationship is to dig past the superficial stuff and address the root problem.
One of the *BEST* resources for saving a relationship is the best-selling ebook The Magic Of Making Up I highly recommend it
Once you’ve actually address the core problems you can start to move into deeper stuff like how to fix it. Now that you’ve both addressed the core problems it’s time to create a plan of action. Essentially you need to make some concrete goals and stick to them. If you guys don’t spend any time together anymore then designate 1 night a week as date night.
You have to remember that saving a relationship is an actual process not a quick cure. You will often times make a lot of progress only to be pushed backward time and time again. Keep working though!
